The Malignancy is a genre- defining novel about a teenager named Ashton Beachum. Ashton is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire and taken to Turkey, where the billionaire has built a time machine. The billionaire, named Matthias Mattheson, has an obsession with the Roman Empire and Ancient Antioch. Mattheson and his teams have travelled to second century Antioch dozens of times. The only problem is, they have all developed a fatal disease. They believe that Ashton's unique genetic traits could hold the key to their survival. Of course, there is only one way for them to be totally sure.
Ashton is amazed to find that the time machine actually works, and he finds himself enchanted by the lure of the ancient city. It wouldn't be much of a book if things didn't go wrong, and they do. Oh, they do. Ashton ends up enslaved and all alone in a foreign country, two thousand years earlier than he had been born.
Follow Ashton as he desperately tries to escape his barbaric captors and reunite with the pilot of the time machine. Along the way, he makes friends and enemies. He even falls in love. As the story progresses, witness his continual moral degradation and mounting guilt. Watch as he tried to reconcile his bumpy past with the person he wants to be.

I hate writing descriptions, but I hope this one was at least somewhat interesting. Thanks for reading.
